The Things Conference makes a tour and drops by 50 cities around the globe to host half-day sessions. The City Editions share the culture of The Things Conference and focus on sharing knowledge to realize reliable, secure and scalable LoRaWAN solutions.
5 years after the inception of LoRaWAN technology, we are at a crucial turning point where LoRaWAN can become a widespread, global standard. To grab this momentum we need to spread our knowledge of LoRaWAN and educate the companies who are at the verge of deploying their first LPWAN solution. Let's use the global The Things Network community to show how to build scalable, reliable and secure LoRaWAN solutions.
The Things Conference City Editions
City Editions are professional get-togethers, hosted by The Things Industries' Partners. The events aim at educating people to make better use of LoRaWAN and to find partners who can support each other with realizing professional solutions.
The enterprise events target one city, take up half a day at the end of spring/early summer and aim at 50 to 100 participants.
City Events include:
- Hands-on technical LoRaWAN workshop
- LoRaWAN 101 presentation
- The Things (Enterprise) Stack getting started
- Live end-to-end use case demonstrations
Requirements for hosting The Things Conference City Edition?
City Edition organizers are knowledgeable about LoRaWAN, The Things Network and The Things Industries. Organizers are registered as an organization and have the resources to organize an event for 50 to 100 people. The events can be fully sponsored by the host, or a ticket fee will cover the expenses of the event.
How The Things Industries supports you in organizing the City Edition
Marketing - you event will be added to our Conference website and you will be featured in our social media campaign, starting in the end of March.
Knowledge - The Things Organizers are happy to advise you on organizing the City Edition. Thus far, The Things Industries has organized 3 conferences up to 1500 participants and learned a thing or two along the way.
Content - Templates will be shared for hosting workshops and presentations on LoRaWAN, The Things Network and The Things Industries
