Yesterday we had a pleasant visit from the core team members of The Things Network Brescia in Amsterdam. We gave them a tour of our office and held constructive talks on the future plans of the communities across Italy.
One of the main topics of discussion was making The Things Network more sustainable and scalable by forming a national association to support the activities within Italy. The association aims at the adoption of IoT technologies as a tool to grow smart communities and address local issue as: encouraging local participation, ensuring efficient public infrastructure and promoting societal-relevant solutions.
We are happy to announce that Luca Cremonini will be taking up the role as the country evangelist of Italy. As a country evangelist, Luca will provide active support to local initiatives within the country and thinks about initiating a nationwide meetup for all the members in Italy. Over the next coming weeks we will be communicating updates and more news on this. Stay tuned :slightly_smiling_face:
