During the summer the community has been busy starting up some interessting project. At our last meetup (the after summer kickoff ) the status of these projects we're discussed and a plan for the near future layed out. Our next build will be a LoRa connected weatherstation, so keep an eye on our meetup page. Because the delivery of the required parts is going to take a while we will host a knowledge sharing meetup first. The topic of the meetup is Knowledge sharing (about Internet of Things in general), Projects (a status update) and Conferences (future and past events).

Presentation
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the new technology hype of the moment. Jan W. Veltman, www.technology2success.nl , has experience with embedded systems, radio technologies and internet appliactions. He will bring the hype back to reality and will not only explain what the essence of IoT is but also provide an overview of the available technologies.

Projects
As discussed during our previous meetup we have some community members developing LoRa applications in the field of weather sensing, water level measurements, trash measurements and a data platform for visualisation and data sharing. A status update on the different project will be given.

Conferences
The number of conferences on IoT is growing. Highlights of visited conferences will be given and future events discussed, the most important of course being TTN's own The Things Conference :o) We are also partnering with Things Con. On the 30th of November and th 1st of December they will hold a conference about the future of hardware, connected devices and Internet of Things, for which we just happen to have tickets for...

Go to our meetup page and join us Wednesday November 22 at Sigmax from 19:00 till 21:00.
