The Things Network is currently developing their own gateways which will be in retail near the end of this year. You can pre-order these affordable gateways in the shop already.
You probably don't want to wait that long. Happily, The Things Network supports different kinds of gateways like the Multitech, Kerlink and Lorank. You can even build your own gateway.
In case you already have a gateway, you can add it to the map.
COMMUNICATION CHANNELIn order to communicate internally, we highly recommend you to create a Slack group. It is a free messaging app that helps organizing your team conversation and allows you to directly reach out to members.
You can also use other ways of communication, as long as you make sure people have easy access to join the conversation.

I would like to find people near Erfurt to build a IoT data network in the center of germany and i would like to setup the network in the context of my local hackerspace bytespeicher. Fortunately, we have an old chimney at the building with a great view over the city. At the moment we use the bytetower only for Freifunk. At Bytespeicher we would have a conference room and an electronics lab to meet and build our own its devices.
