## Making Lincoln A Smart Connected City

Join us on our mission building the Lincoln area (United Kingdom) public IOT data network!

Lets spur innovation in Lincoln, by providing businesses with the opportunity to develop smart IOT solutions; and educators to train our young people in emerging connected technologies.

Thank you for your interest in helping, There would be no internet if networks had not originally allowed users traffic to pass freely through them. Join the Local Lincoln community, and be part of a worldwide movement building a global open crowd sourced Internet of Things data network.

The wired internet was freely accessible by businesses and the public, and created massive educational and employment opportunities for humanity (as you know, if you are reading this online!) The ‘New’ internet expansion will be through connected machines and objects, commonly termed ‘The Internet of Things’ This will power many new services and innovations for the benefit of humanity, such as Smart Cities, Smart Agriculture, and increased safety and security (for example remote flood monitoring).

We believe that a freely accessible wide wireless sensor network will benefit innovators to develop new products and services, in the same way that the original internet did, back in the 1990‘s.

Lincoln, and the wider county can be at the forefront!

Join us and let's make it happen. The Internet of Things (IoT) is predicted to be a multi trillion pound technology revolution, and we believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate and innovate.

Inexpensive long-range technology is now on the market that allows the creation of an open and free network that can cover both the city of Lincoln and the wider county of Lincolnshire.

By building the network we will enable people and commercial organisations to innovate and build stuff that will have benefit for themselves, their communities.
