Helium Network is literally eating The Things Network's for lunch. There is at least twice the LoRaWAN coverage in the US with Helium Hotspots. (LoRaWAN gateways.)

I thought this was fake, so I drove to every Hotspot in my state and was able to be picked up by all of them! I am impressed!
Gatways are incentivized to operate by paying operators a network token called HNT. This feels like a missing part of The Things Network.
