RAK831 a possible gateway?

Just checking out the project on Hackster.io I followed the link for the radio module and it looks like the company are trying to get MIC certification for Japan! Certification might be our first stumbling block for LoRaWAN but I'm keen to explore all possible solutions. Let's make a great community network in Osaka!
