The Things Network was invited to join the panel discussion about the Internet of Things at the InnovFest Unbound conference in Singapore. Over 6000 people visited the Marina Bay Sands on the 17th and 18th of May to learn about Smart Nation Innovation and to get inspired about how technology can transform the world around us.
When you talk about smart nations, you talk about the Internet of Things. Together with Huawei, StarHub, Salesforce and McLaren Applied Technologies, the future of the Internet of Thing was discussed. The general conclusion: the technology is available today and it will become a large part of our lives. Start exploring the opportunities it can bring to you now! And, get some women on board to change perspective from a technological point of view to a social one. If you talk about IoT, don't talk too much about the technologies, discuss how it can truly add value to our lives.
During my trip, I had the opportunity to meet the people that are standing at the forefront of the Internet of Things. With the effort of (among others) Les Robotique, Müriv and Unified Inbox, The Things Network becomes a reality in Singapore, enabling anyone to develop applications that no-one could have dreamed of a few years ago.
Opening up the network where 'things' can connect to, will result in exponential innovation in the Internet of Things. Let's build this thing together!
