For Quantified Planet I have installed an Elsys ELG in the tower of Vaxholm Fortress. It is used for sensors in the area collecting data on water levels, air quality, wind speed, UV index and much more.
Some quick range measurements using TTNMapper.org shows at least 11 kilometres of range using the simple TTN "Hello World" example;
