One of our backers, Thing Innovations, have created a new gateway based on the RAKWireless RAK833 LoRaWAN concentrator card. The adaptor board plugs into a Raspberry Pi (Pi 3 recommended). The gateway is simple to setup and can be up and running in a matter of minutes. We've had a test gateway running for some months now and has performed very well using an external RAKWireless antenna and small GPS antenna. The gateway operates well with a POE Injector allowing for single CAT5 cable connections for both communications and power.

The adaptor board also features a UBlox GPS module that is used to provide accurate timing for the LoRaWAN concentrator card. This would also mean that the gateway should be able to support LoRaWAN Class B and Class C devices as well as geo-location services.

We have a limited quantity of kits available for sale including the adaptor, GPS, antennas, pigtails, RAK833-868 and heatsink. The boards are fully assembled, requiring a Raspberry Pi to complete the gateway.
For NADHack members we have a number of aluminium extrusion enclosures with lasercut end panels for a number of installation options if required.
