In the presentation it will be demonstrated how IoT can play crucial role in helping koalas to recover from wildfire. To address the issue of water scarcity in the wilderness of Australia people concerned with preservation of wildlife installed small water tanks in the wild. However, managing water level in all this tanks in the wilderness is troublesome and inefficient. To address this issue, Sensedge and Opensensing have formed a partnership and provide an end-to-end solution – extended LoRaWAN network, a new sensor and an IoT platform. Project that is being deployed in Kangaroo Island, Southern Australia, will be presented to the public for the first time at the conference. In the coming months the project will be expanded throughout Australia. With the new sensor there is a series of water scarcity use cases planed in Australia. For instance, water level in fire tanks and virtual dam project with more than 1000 installations.
