Specially designed for monitoring local power grid transformation substations ("Ortsnetzstationen" in Germany, 10 kV → 230 V), the izinto izi-io 4840 /grid is an industry-strength controller with edge computing and LoRaWAN® connection that connects to a Jean Müller PLMulti-II measuring device via Modbus/RTU. Additionally, up to 8 temperature sensors and switches may be connected.

Manual setup
Create an application
In The Things Stack console, go to Applications → Create application and pick a unique application ID.
Register an end device
Choose From the LoRaWAN Device Repository and search for “izi-io 4840 /grid - I/O Controller”. Select your firmware version and frequency plan.
Enter device credentials
Provide the DevEUI, JoinEUI and AppKey printed on the device label or QR code.
Power on & verify uplinks
Within a few minutes you'll see the join request and uplinks in the Live data tab.
