Device Repository
Submit a device
Add your device to the open-source repository. A complete profile, with payload codec, gets your device one-click onboarding in The Things Stack and visibility to thousands of network operators. This wizard generates the YAML files for your pull request.
Changing a device that is already listed? Use the update wizard instead.
Who makes this device?
Lowercase, hyphenated. Becomes the folder name under

New vendors also need a LoRa Alliance VendorID, request one via the LoRa Alliance TR005 registry, or leave it to the reviewers.

Payload codec
The Things Stack codec API:
decodeUplink({ bytes, fPort }) returning { data }. The legacy Decoder(bytes, port) convention also works. The code runs sandboxed in your browser.| Description | FPort | Payload (hex) | Expected output (JSON) |
|---|
Product photo
The file is checked locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Repository rules: PNG, at most 2000 × 2000 px, transparent background.
The photo travels with your pull request as
vendor/<vendor>/<model>.png, this step only checks it against the repository rules so the reviewers don't have to bounce it back.Review & generate
The files are validated against the same schema.json the repository CI uses. Generating shows a step-by-step GitHub checklist, submissions are reviewed by the maintainers, most are merged within a few working days.
Your submission files are ready
Follow the checklist to open one pull request on TheThingsNetwork/lorawan-devices, GitHub forks the repository for you, no local tools needed. The community reviews every submission before it is published.
