Accelerometer sensing measures acceleration acting on a device, usually across three axes (X, Y and Z) in units of g or m/s². From these raw forces, firmware derives useful signals such as movement, orientation, free-fall, impact and ongoing vibration.
LoRaWAN accelerometer devices process measurements on board and send compact, summarised uplinks rather than continuous waveforms.
