LoRaWAN GPS Trackers and GNSS Devices
LoRaWAN GPS devices capture position from satellite navigation and report coordinates over long-range, low-power networks for asset and people tracking.
GPS sensing determines a device’s geographic position using satellite navigation signals, reporting latitude, longitude, and often altitude. Many modern modules are multi-constellation GNSS receivers, combining GPS with systems such as Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou for faster, more reliable fixes.
A LoRaWAN GPS device acquires a position fix locally, then transmits the coordinates as a compact payload over the long-range network. Because satellite acquisition and frequent uplinks consume power, trackers commonly combine motion detection or scheduled intervals to balance update rate against battery life.
