Drone with lora

Is it possible to control Drone using Lora technology?

Using LoRa, possibly - but be aware of duty-cycle/dwell time issues! But that would be outside scope of this forum (TTN/LoRaWAN)… 2.4Ghz LoRa likely best option dependig on where in the world and use cases…gives a ~10db range advantage c/w legacy radios - a bit like 900MHz range for legacy only in the 2.4 Ghz band where free space losses are higher.

Using LoRaWAN (and by extension TTN) - given Class A operation and TTN limits wrt FUP - downlink limits etc - No! Class C in a none TTN setting then possibly to limited extend - but again antisocial wrt on air times, latency and issue and would quickly kill drone battery… so practically No! Again goes outside scope here.

I know of folk who add a LoRaWAN sensor node to then gather environmental or mapping data from a drone - but practicalities of mapping coverage from a drone at height a bit limited in value - ‘coverage’ normally thought of as being at ground level to maybe 2-3m above…and you will likley run into legal, safety, insurance and regulatory issues in many parts of the world if you start flying your drones at that low height around people or buildings!

This forum is for the discussion and support of The Things Network (TTN) which does use LoRa devices, but support for LoRa devices themselves is well outside the scope of this forum.

There are a number of radio control (RC) systems that use LoRa, you are advised to view forums that support RC applications such as RCGroups.
