Gateway "not activated" in Console and not on the map

#1

Hi,

connected and registered a new Gateway (LoRank8).

Lorank8's Status page reports heartbeats and acks.

In the console I could register the gateway (uses bridge registration) as eui-1dee16aa26f490d7.

It is listed here: https://staging.thethingsnetwork.org/gatewaystatus with uplink=N/A, Downlink=active and Last_seen=now.

But unfortunately it does not appear on the map and in the console it is shown as Status="not activated".

Any ideas what might have gone wrong?

Unfortunately I don't have a working mote/node for further testing with payload.
Syslog does not look so bad (see below)

Thanks

Christian

Hi, I'm having the same issue. Could you solve it?

#3

Non of my gateways show 'activated', however on the gateway page itself the status is 'connected' and 'last seen' is seconds ago. (And my application receives data from a node)

What is the status for your gateway on the details page?

(Vanthome) #4

exactly the same for me. I suspect that this is "normal" for bridge mode. I also assume, the GW will work anyways (still need to test)

#5

Hi,guys,

I may have the same problem. One of my single channel gateway shows 'connected' on console page, but 'offline' on the gateway status, and the application receives no data from the nodes.

I had the same configuration on another deviceļ¼Œbut I can't find it from the https://staging.thethingsnetwork.org/gatewaystatus/ and it shows 'unconnected' on the console page.

Could somebody help?

Thanks in advance!

#6

The Status at my TTN-Console is "not connected" and the gateway doesn't show up in the map.

The Status shown at the Gateway's status page is "active stream", both up- and downstream and it seems to exchange heartbeats with the server (downstream) and to exchange acks with the server (upstream).

Maybe you're right and it works anyway,

Not easy to test without a mote.

Gateway not connected
(Actionjackson) #7

Did anyone find the solution? If really an issue? I am using a Microchip Lora Eval Kit. I am on the us west handler. My gateway says connected but not "activated". The GUI for the data log periodically stops running so data logging is sort of worthless for me right now. Any one have any suggestions?

You should use MQTT to get the data. The GUI is just a quick validation tool.

"stat_format": "semtech"
and
"fake_gps": true,
in the local_conf.json
helped
as stated here: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/forum/t/stuck-why-lorank8-gateway-not-showing-up-on-map/5490/3
Thanks @ kersing

Now it shows up as active in the console as well as in the map and in TTN's noc.

It still doesn't transport data, but that will be the next issue to solve
