IC880a+ RPi3 model B GW configuration

(Marssystems) #12

Jessie Lite will run on any model of RPi with no modification.
If you follow ALL the instructions in the Software Setup section of this guide -

you won’t have any problems.

You don’t need to re-program the HAL or anything - it all just works.

(psyec) #13

they are configured Raspbian jessie lite with RPI2. whether it is working with RPI3?

(psyec) #14

ok i will try

(Marssystems) #15

Yes - same instructions for RPi 3B .
Make sure that you type every command exactly as shown in the setup guide - don't miss anything out.

Helllo,
I configured my first gateway (with no experience) exactely as it is written here
https://github.com/ttn-zh/ic880a-gateway/wiki#setting-up-the-software
When you start to install

$ git clone -b spi https://github.com/ttn-zh/ic880a-gateway.git ~/ic880a-gateway
  $ cd ~/ic880a-gateway
  $ sudo ./install.sh spi

You Gateway UEI is displayed. Wrote it to a paper. You will need it later

This tuto help me as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFVA6cQyheY&t=36s

You also have to send a json file as this exemple
https://github.com/ttn-zh/gateway-remote-config/blob/master/00029BFFFEA1A57A.json

Rename the json file with your Gateway UIE.
Change the following line
https://github.com/ttn-zh/gateway-remote-config/blob/master/00029BFFFEA1A57A.json#L3
with you Gateway UEI and make sure to write it in uppercase

and modify those lines with your location information
"ref_latitude": 50.0822850,
“ref_longitude”: 14.4502592,
“ref_altitude”: 40,
“contact_email”: "your@email.com",
“description”: “Description”

You will have to wait some time (I waited 1 days),.
You can check this page
https://github.com/ttn-zh/gateway-remote-config
and when your file is listed, reboot your gateway and it should works
I also recommand you to setup the Wifi network
network={
ssid="The_SSID_of_your_wifi"
psk=“Your_wifi_password”
}

Make sure to keep the "

I am novice, and I followed, step by step, the wiki and the video,
Cheers

how to resolve the problem please help me

(Pierrot10) #24

The default password for Raspberry is
username : pi
password : raspberry or raspberrypi (I do not remember)

but you can easly find with google.

You have all infromation on the link I provide, as well to create a new account and deleteing the pi account

Also create an account at TTN and create a gateway in the console, if it’s not done yet.

(psyec) #25
