# In ABP joining method End Nodes used to freeze

In ABP joining method the End Nodes used to freeze , after unchecking reset frame counter above mentioned problem resolved.

I assume you meant disabling “Frame Counter Checks”.

Like the warning in TTN Console says, _“Disabling frame counter checks drastically reduces security and should only be used for development purposes”_ you should **really** only disable that during development, if ever, [and that also needs changes in your device to disable checks for downlink counters](https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/forum/t/abp-node-stopped-working-fixed-by-creating-new-abp-why/3200/7).

There is no such thing as an ABP join

What exactly do you mean?

Does their firmware get stuck?

Do they transmit but the packets are not accepted and decoded?

What you’ve posted does not have sufficient meaning.
