PRACTICAL STUFF AND WHAT TO EXPECT AS THINKER

24hr completion time, start on Friday evening 16/11/2018 at 4 pm, the deadline is Saturday 17/11/18 at 5 pm. At that moment, each group pitches, either in Dutch or in English, its project before the jury, composed with a representative of the company and an independent logistical expert.

This jury selects the best team from the group, who worked on his challenge. The day ends - at the gala party - with the pitch of the best idea of each challenge and the voting by all participants via the MENTI app and finally the distribution of the prizes.

Five exciting logistic challenges entered by five different big shippers. The key is conceptual thinking. Supply chain related problems will be presented, which can be tackled in different ways. That is the challenge! Who will develop the most creative, innovative and workable solution?These challenges will be distributed amongst the participating thinkers via lot draw.

The objective is to create added value propositions for each person present in the room.The companies, who proposed the challenges, obviously will return home with a number of potential solutions. And the thinkers play their role to fully utilise their creativity, by making new contacts, which otherwise would be difficult to realise, and the best thinkers quite clearly will not return home with empty hands.

For the thinkers: everyone can plan their 24 hours When someone wants to go ‘the extra mile’ by camping out at the location, that is perfectly possible: to respond to those requirement, we have organised some budget lodgings in the neighbourhood (on Friday night). We offer a room to accommodate participants; however, if a team decides to continue brainstorming in the pub so be it.

On Friday evening, from 4.30 pm till 10 pm all company representatives of the challenges will be present at our location, and additional information can be obtained. At 10.30 pm we close the doors until 9 am. Your ideas can mature overnight. From Saturday morning at 9 am we are back again. We will check the completion scheme and will coach you and your team to the final stage.

At 5 pm we start with the pitches. The candidates will be assessed, and one nominee will be selected. At 7 pm the gala party begins, where the final winner will be announced. Register here as a thinker.

You are welcome to be present and experience the event in the front row from Friday evening or on Saturday. Everyone is welcome after registration until 6 pm Saturday evening.
