# Retrieving deleted LoRaWAN gateway

This is documented [Troubleshooting Gateways | The Things Stack for LoRaWAN](https://www.thethingsindustries.com/docs/gateways/troubleshooting/#i-get-an-id-already-taken-error-when-adding-a-gateway).

Only administrators can retrieve deleted identifiers. You can simply recreate your gateway using a different ID.
