101 years to the day after Marconi wirelessly connected Wales to New South Wales in Australia a bunch of TTN users emulated this act using LoRaWAN devices on TTN.
The effort easily surpassed the link path distance of Marconi with packets transmitted from high elevations in England, Wales and Ireland finding multiple TTN gateways hundreds of kilometers from source. A testament to the robustness of LoRa and the efficiency of LoRaWAN and The Things Network.
