# Update end device : Location

Hello,  
From the console (V3), I see Update end device : Location thanks to the message received and decoded, which contains altitude, latitude, longitude. But what is the purpose of this update? I do not see the location updated on the map…

The location displayed in the Console is currently only based on the location set manually via the “Location” tap. We will extend functionality soon to also show updated, frame-based locations as well.

This feature has recently been implemented for end devices. You will be able to see the live location of the end devices (and gateways which was already the case) in the map in the Console.

Nice! Left car at tyre shop this morning and checked when I saw post as had left a couple of trackers running…there they were 🙂 Can also see now safely back at home a few beer tokens the poorer!
