After a couple of months of preparation, our first outdoor gateway in Bruges is up and running. The gateway is located on top of the VIVES building in the Xaverianenstraat. The gateway is now connected to the Things Network servers, and is available for everybody.

The gateway we placed is a Lorank 8+ with a GP 901C antenna. The same configuration we use in Ostend. The location in the middle of the roof might not be the best possible considering the building, but it was the best we could do at the moment.

We will do some testing in the next weeks. The first range tests look promissing: http://ttnmapper.org/?gateway=1DEE0855A73C5652&type=radar. Hopefully we could have an application ready for the open days at the VIVES campus.

A special thanks to VIVES to make this possible.

Now we will start to think about a location for the next gateway.
