The Things Network Den Bosch and HAS University of applied sciences have developed a sensor to measure environmental parameters in the Empelse Waard. This sensor uses the The Things Network LoRa network and will be used by HAS students to learn more about soil condition and light intensity in the beautiful nature reserve.

By means of this pilot the parties involved will be able to get familiar with LoRa for measuring this kind of data. This is in particular interesting since the long range and low power consumption make it ideal for agricultural applications. A satisfying results may lead to a broader use of this technique for many other applications.
