The internet of things (IoT) is coming. Monitoring and controlling remote sites will be available to anybody that can get on a web page, without breaking the bank. LoRaWAN is emerging as the enabling technology that will connect remote battery powered sensors at low cost. Soil moisture sensors with LoRaWAN radios built-in will be coming in the near future, these will connect direct to a LoRaWAN gateways (then to the internet)
I want to help implement the fist LoRaWAN gateway in Waikerie to test what a LoRaWAN network could do for the horticultural community. If you are local in waikerie, and this sounds like something you would like to get involved in please get in touch. Cheers Jon
