Reach of Node?

Hi,

Why does this Node have such an enormous reach?

Can someone explain this to me?

Which node are you referring to ?

I see the tracks of, maybe 200 nodes.

Nodes

It’s unclear what specifically you are asking about.

But consider if something is too good to be true, it probably isn’t. Likely either the node or the gateway was not actually where it was alleged to be. Especially if both were alleged to be on the surface of the earth.

Likely not on surface or even close? - A HAB? or poss a node in flight (cargo tracker or meatware holding?)… & IIR TTN Berlin has a GW on TV Broadcast tower? (Very tall  )

 or one node being seen by maybe 200 GW’s? (Counts showing multiple unresolved GW’s as too densly packed on graphic?)

LOL

…and the press just wants to know who’s shirts you ware… (And who’s GW’s and Nodes you use!)

Aside: playing with the dates a bit may reveal the whereabouts of the possible owner, like: https://ttnmapper.org/devices/?device=hsnrgps2&enddate=2020-06-17 may indicate the device owner lives/works close to https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/gateway-data/gateway/eui-FCC23DFFFE0F5A7C

I’m quite sure I already contacted https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/u/hochschule_niederrhein about this, after this was mentioned in Slack August 15th, but I’m not 100% sure.

Hi, I meant the node with the name "hsnrgps2

Ärjan,
thanx for the info. Indead it’s “hochschule_niederrhein” with some experiment I think.

Can JP not move this data to “experiment”?
@jpmeijers I am new in this forum and juist started using the TTN Mapper.
I was happy to see that one of my gateways had a reacht of 50 km and more, but it may be wrong…

I’ve moved this specific device’s data to an experiment:
