Antenna for LoRa Hat Dragino on Raspberry Pi2 - 923.2 MHz

hi,

I am running Dragino Hat on Raspberry Pi2 as single channel gateway. It comes with that small with antenna on 923.2 Mhz

I found this antenna on banggood:

915MHz 7dBi High Gain FPV/Car Sucker Antenna RP-SMA Male

Any experience or suggestion if this will work.

Also how about putting an LNA amplifier in between the device and the antenna? Suggestions?

My intention is to have a study omni directional range for my device.

Agreed, do not.

You cannot transmit through an LNA !

You would need some method of switching the single antenna between the receive and transmit sides, a non trivial exersize.

It might or it might not.

The problem with buying stuff like antennas on eBay, Alliexpress or Bangood, is that you have no way of knowing if the article is geniune or not. Someone might buy one and find it OK, the next one might be a fake, the wrong frequency etc.
