Any nodes not based on Semtech LoRa chip?

Hi,

After doing some search on the Internet, I found that most of LoRa modules are based on Semtech SX series chips. I am wondering whether they are any nodes not based on Semtech LoRa chips? Thanks in advance.

As yet ALL nodes use SMTC deviceā€¦although it appears Hope RF in China tried to be sneeky early on and rebranded device tops + modules and cut/paste their own branding/part numbers over the SMTC documentation, alledgedly to hide original source, early on! Much to the annoyance of someā€¦result is you are unlikely to get any direct support if using Hope devices as there is a bit of stand off there (or used to beā€¦), Still community is generally good at stepping in to help with the RFM productsā€¦subsequently most who have ā€˜licencedā€™ have done so to include devices, or die, in modules/SiP to drive down formfactor/footprint. Alternate silicon will emerge from some licencees in due courseā€¦meantime of course whilst 1st Gen (SX127x based) devices are popular and continue to ramp volume you will note that the 1st sets of modules/SiPā€™s based on 2nd Gen Si are now emerging (SX126x based).
