However, in the forum at https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/forum/u/samsag/preferences/account, there still is my old email address and I’m still getting emails this way. It would be great if someone can help to change (or propagate?) my forum email address to the new one before the old address expires and I miss some news.
None of the everyday forum volunteers or moderators have account access - you will need to enlist support from the TTI core team - recommend try TTN Slack - #support channel…which should get faster attention.
I usually find best to change through main site vs any attempts through other channels - id.thethingsnetwork should work. I go e.g. https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/ → select user name (top right when logged in with your ID) → select ‘My Profile’ → click the ‘pencil’ next to your user name to edit → click ‘account settings’ under your profile picture - may need to log in or ‘use ThingsID’ to continue → edit & confirm email address on the settings page, then save changes - it should then propogate (shoudl be quick but allow a few hours just in case) across main site, console & forum. I think only the Slack user email address - if you have one - doesnt change (do that through Slack once logged in!).
Well, that’s what I already did, I’ve changed my email address in my profile settings on https://id.thethingsnetwork.org/client, and it’s correct on that site since then.
However, it did not update the settings for the forum.
So when you click on your user icon (top right) & look at your profile when on the Forum (this page!); under preferences it shows a different email address to that you have edited and saved changes on whilst on main site/id.thethings… ?
