Dragino LGT-92 - LoRaWAN GPS Tracker location

With two people reporting problems with the GPS on the LGT-92, it might be worth asking Dragino if there is a problem with their product.

hi, tried to contact them too using their support.
no response yet, but as i only have one lora device atm was hoping to get more experienced people around. my ftdi and new nodes still being processed.

Well it would need someone with experience of that particular module really.

Worth checking to see if Dragino provide any test software that you can use to check that things like the GPS are working. If they dont then they ought to.

I have send a emeil to edwin from dragino in order to have a solution.

nice! i got a request too, hope they wil respond, time-zone difference quite big here

Edwin agrees that this is not OK, shouldn’t be happening, hope my ftdi converter is arriving asap, need to connect it to learn more …

same for me…
need a converter.
“Do you have USB to TTL adapter? Can you log in the device and see the output?”

ftdi arrived:

output:

Edwin suggested to reset the device and reprogram the keys.

hi Edwin,

got in the config mode with AT+FDR

tried to configure the keys:

Image Version: v1.4

Frequency Band: EU868

DevEui= A8 40 41 00 01 81 92 D6

Please set the parameters or reset Device to apply change

AT+DEUI=[DEV-EUI] ==> OK
AT+APPEUI=[APP-EUI] ==> AT_PARAM_ERROR
AT+APPKEY=[APP-key] ==> AT_PARAM_ERROR

ATZ => device in restart-loop

somehow the APP-keys aren’t accepted in my device only the DEV-EUI works.

anyone here with experience?

I was able to set the APPKEY using the AT commands, but make sure you don’t paste directly from the things console into your terminal window. The character between the bytes is not an ASCII space. Paste it into notepad, clean it up and then try again.

thanks… added spaces.
but still kept going thru frequencies trying to join.

feels like a broken receiver:

And you powered off and back on after making the changes? Did it attempt to rejoin?

hi,

tried that, first ATZ to reset
secondly disconnected power switch to off and back to on.
still see the join accepts being send uit from the gateway and rxtimeouts in the console while connected

tried to reconfigure in ABP: to check if the keys would be an issue: not working either

sometimes it’s not the device, which looked proper and good.
however a reboot of the gateway changed lots…
its working?

Disable the motion and make sure you have enabled GPST
AT+SGM=1
AT+GPST=150
ATZ

Please put it in outdoor and wait for a while. I had same issue at first while setting it up indoor.

the new firmware for Dragino LGT-92 has been released: v1.5

Read here!! LGT-92 low GPS accuracy

You need their specific USB device to do the upgrade? I can’t do the upgrade with my UART cable :confused:

Hello Sir ,
I have just bought the LGT-92 and I can’t see its position, even though I have set all the parameters like EUI, APP KEY ?
