Edge-processing based LoRa networks

Hi,
I am familiar with the low-speed nature of LoRa communications and extra regulations that restrict LoRaWAN bandwidth. I am looking for applications of Edge-processing based LoRa or LoRaWAN networks where they have theoretical benefits such as reducing the payload size, and power consumption of the nodes, etc. Do you have any idea what applications they can be used for?

Many thanks in advance,

Yes, yes I do.

Perhaps you could kick off with some ideas and the companies solving these problems as this looks a bit like another round of:

And yes, I do have that good a memory!

Sorry, but this doesn’t really make much sense.

Edge processing in the LoRaWAN context would mean at the gateway, and that’s simply not how LoRaWAN is designed to work - all of the key information, secrets, and knowledge is kept central.

To actually reduce node power you’d have to have on-device schemes that were invoked even before radio transmission. You’re free to do that, but they’re not really part of LoRaWAN but rather strategies of what you might do before even involving it.
