Greetings from Newcastle, Australia, where our local community has just celebrated our TTN recognition in the latest IoT Pioneers Meetup. (thanks @hraftery)

We’ve got an upcoming hackathon 25-27Oct2018 exploring Urban IoT with a #SoNewy theme that ties in with local placemaking and citizen engagement themes. Being based in a regional city, the talent network is still growing, so we wanted to use this opportunity to also reach out to other collaborators who might be interested in working with local teams to explore + address our event challenges. It’s running straight after DevOpsDaysNewy, so we know there’ll be some out-of-towners around.

With the wrap-up reports now done, have had some time to spend with Core Electronics to get our TTN gateway up and operational this afternoon for Central Coast NSW. Hopefully the first of a next wave of network infill.
