Help installing LoRa firmware on RBwAPR-2nD&R11e-LR9 w/ AP LR9 kit

Noobie here.

I have successfully upgraded the firmware on this unit to to 7.10.1 and downloaded the “all_packages_mmips.zip” to install LoRa. I’ve added “lora-7.10.1-mmips.npk” to Files on the router, but it does not show as installed after I reboot and go to RouterBoard.

I am following the “step by step guide” found here Step by step installation - RouterOS - MikroTik Documentation, but it is for v6.4.8 and looks slightly different under v7.10.1.

I submitted a support ticket to MiktoTek, but was curious if anyone here has already navigated this issue.

Hello and welcome eee123,
on the more recent versions of router os you need to install the iot package first, then reboot prior to adding the LoRa package. LoRa will show up under the IOT Menu on the GUI. I think I have found that info somewhere on their forum. Can’t recall where though. It worked for me though.

Thanks. I found I was trying to install MMIPS add-ons instead of MIPSBE. Looks like I’m on to the next step in my journey :).
