Just get a stronger magnet, and especially put some care into installing it so that the magnet and the sensor are close together when the gate is closed.

Look at the magnetic switches they use for garage doors, the magnet is a bit bigger and the cables are a bit more protected, to withstand cars driving over them.

I have ordered a Mikrotik LR8 Getaway.
Hopefully, it will be connected to the TTN on the 25th 
I have not been able to source a Milesight EM300 quickly, so I have ordered a Dragino LDS02 to start to play with in the next few days. I should be ready for the EM300 when it will arrive.
Stupid question: if I buy a Tracker that is linked to a commercial Lora network, is it possible to reset it and to register it on the TTN network? For exemple Invoxia, it is working with Objenious.
