MQTT Uplink Message format - Can it be changed?

Hi Everyone

The standard MQTT uplink message format is : <AppID>/devices/<DevID>/up

Q1: Can we modify this to conform to Brick or Haystack tagging ontology (http://vcharpenay.github.io/hto/doc.htm)
<AppID>/devices/<DevID>/up

See: http://www.automatedbuildings.com/news/jan17/interviews/brick1.JPG

Even if we could configure a sensor to have an alias MQTT topic that conforms to this haystack (or other) format

Q2: If the above is NOT available if I had a private TTN Server, can I modify the source to make it do the above in Q1?

I look forward to your replies

DCH

A1. No, if it doesn’t match it doesn’t match. No modifications possible.
A2. No need for a private TTN instance, just run some software that translates between the formats and talks MQTT. And you (probably) need a MQTT broker as well.
