People Trackers (Radar / WiFi Scanners) - Experiences?

Hi,

I am looking into people trackers (Corona again, its about finding “bottlenecks” e.g. in museums). There are 2 very different types of sensors I found so far:

  • Radar
I found this one, quite expensive
  • Scanners for WiFi/Bluetooth signals
They scan for mobiles and can identify a mobile by their signature. I found this one, which is pretty cheap compared to the radar sensor.

Where I am pretty lost is comparing these to different approaches for measuring. What are their strengths/weaknesses?

Does anyone have experience with either of them?

Thanks & best regards
Philipp

Hi, after more search I found a german web shop which actually compares different types nicely. So if you can read german, go to https://iot-shop.de/usecase-personenzaehlung

This is another option

The video is quite spectacular

Kind regards

(But for Corona: how to know if people are from the same family, which counts as a single party in some countries?)
