RAK2243 Pi Hat Gateway (RAK7243) won't connect to TTN

Another Gateway, another issue. I’m trying to connect my RAK2243 Pi Hat Gateway to TTN. Been through the setup numerous times, but cannot get my RAK2243/RAK7243 Gateway to show up as ‘Connected’ to TTN in the V3 Console:

  • I download the latest Firmware - RAK7243_on_Raspbian_OS_V4.2.5_20200909 and etched to SSD for RPi.
  • RPi Boots up with all OK messages
  • Ran $ sudo gateway-config
  • Set up RAK Gateway Channel Plan = TTN, US_902_928
  • Gateway EUI = B827EBFFFE43E075

Added new Gateway to V3 Console:

Tried configuring Gateway communipaw007 multiple times starting with a clean SSD, but to no avail. Will appreciate any support I can get.

Thank you,
Albert

I dont have that unit but …Hint: Check the server address in 2nd big chunk of Pi screen grab & compare with V3 registration info…

Has anything significant happened to the TTN infrastructure since Sept 2020?

You gotta be kidding me @Jeff-UK. That was it. THANK YOU, my Gateway is working. Have to say though, these settings are second nature to you guys and that’s why we’re glad to have you. I just wish RAK would update their Firmware to V3 so we can get to coding and not configuring.

YES!!! I have been struggling for HOURS trying to figure out what the problem was. Same thing downloaded the newest version of Rak7244_on_raspbian etc and could not figure it out. Tried different router settings etc. But going into that one line under “gateway_conf” and changing from “router.us.thethings.network” to in my case (north america) “nam1.cloud.thethings.network” fixed the issue. Thank you @apsparks and @Jeff-UK for posting!!!
