RAK7249 - DIY enterprise gateway

I noticed Jeff wrote previously “Not clear from pictures or video but wondering if there is a moisture barrier/pressure plug/vent on the housing?”

I received this unit the other day, and am a bit concerned about taking it outside. The lid has a noticeable gap which I am able to blow air through. Has anyone had any trouble with the weather proofing?

There should be a sealing gasket in the deliverables - if that is missing contact your seller (or RAK if direct) and request one - when bolts tightened it provides a good water tight seal in my experience. Note: recommend you use balanced gradual tightening of bolts in a sequence of working across opposing/adjacent sides vs tightening one after the other in sequence of adjoining bolts - a bit like tightenig the cylinder head/gasket on an engine block- to avoid distortion and potential leaks
