Sandbox LoRaGo PORT gateway on TTN

I followed the directions supplied by Sandbox Electronics and everything works well end-to-end, but on 868 MHz, not 915 MHz for the US, where I am and how I told the install shell script to do the setup.

The global_conf.json file at /opt/ttn-gateway/bin has the 867-868 channels defined; do I need to simply edit these for the US channels I want? The Node I am using is using RadioHead and it appears that it will run at 915 automatically once it contacts a 915 MHz gateway, but not 100% sure on this point. Mainly I need to get the gateway on 915 MHz as step 1.

TIA, Russ

Can you post the entire code of the json file or at least the part related to the 868 channels that you are alluding to? It doesn’t appear to be up on their github so without being able to look at the code because it could be very similar to other gateways in what you need to switch or it could be much different.

On a side note this would get me a chance to look at it before I make my next purchase since I was about to buy the exact same thing and am in the 915 region.

Thanks for the reply. Here’s the entire global_conf.json file.

  1. Please format your posts. Cut-and-paste of code makes for ugly, hard to read messages.

  2. No need to edit a file to create the config, just download it from the TTN github repository: US global_conf.json

Thanks Jac, that worked great.
