Raspberry Pi 3 30,53 € @ Aliexpress - of course shipping time is not the same
That will cost additional VAT and Customs handling fee.
In NL we have to pay 21% VAT + €13 handling fee for foreign imports from $22 and onward (product price including shipping).
Ah I think here - in France - we have an exception which means we do not pay duty taxes under 50€ - not sure about VAT then.

if you use DHL, FEDEX or UPS and you"re in France you pay VAT and carrier fee (c’est du racket à chaque fois), each time, from La Poste it should go straightforward without any tax (if not declared)
With most items coming to the UK via regular post (Aliexpress standard, hong kong or china air etc) it never seems to get flagged up for additional costs.
Avoid couriers though as they happily charge a customs processing fee in addition to making sure you pay all duties and taxes
The SAMD21 (ARM Cortex M0) MCU on that board which is used as programmer for the PIC appears more powerful than the PIC16F18446 itself what the board is all about.

Looks like I’ll be spending more with Aliexpress if this trend continues.
So I signed up for one, now just have to work out what to do with it?

What I do is buy eBay/china things when I think they are cheap… and just 'stock a few
So I have those in black to (its the one in the middle)
