The Things Indoor Gateway just goes offline after connect

I have recently purchased a The Things Indoor LoRaWAN WiFi Gateway and it is registered with TTN (meshed AU). The green light goes solid and the Last Seen counter resets to zero on TTN, then… nothing. I have two gateways on AU915 here and the other one increments Received Messages for the devices here but TTIG sees zero. The last seen timer increments for one hour and then the gateway is marked offline. Powering off/on repeats the above.

The unit does not have any sort of admin interface so I am a bit stuck how to debug this. Tried on both work and home networks with same behaviour, no outbound filtering.

I have hooked up the serial console and it seems the unit is listening on EU868, snippets from the log

I ordered an AU915, is this a configuration error or have I been sent the wrong unit?

The TTIG is currently connected to V2 of TTN. As a result.of this not alie functionalities are implemented as it seems. For example keep alive messages are not used to update the latest heard timer in V2 console.

I can confirm that after x minutes the TTIG is stated as off-line however, when a packet is received it goes back online.

The cure is to have a node that transmit every 30 minutes or so.

To have your TTIG working in Australia you need to post some information in TTIG AU915 support

TTN is still working on an automated way to resolve this.

I am having the exact same issue the Things Indoor Gateway in Australia. A resolution would be most appreciated.

Just a quick note to let you know that the problem has been resolved.

A feature needs to be enabled which can be requested on the TTIG AU915 support thread.
