Ttn-mapper differences between (public) heatmap and advanced maps?

Hello, I have noticed that most of my positions recorded by my tracker are displayed in the advanced maps but not in the heatmap. See screenshots. Is this a bug or a feature? If it is a feature, where can I read about it.

  2. advanced maps

You may want to read the thread about TTN Mapper on the main list of topics about its downtime.

Particularly as I’m about to put some news on there.

Yes, I have read that. But the positions were mapped earlier. First July and August 2024 and then again from November 2024. Almost all the data is missing from the ‘public’ heat map.

Have there been problems like this before?

Did you by any chance configure the “experiment” field in your webhook? Experimental uplinks do not appear on the main map.

I don’t think the server that produces the data has much sense of time or place - it’s suffering, data is sporadic, service reliability is directly proportional to income.

Due to the way that the data loads in the background, it may start populating a map and then become overloaded, interrupting it. Or it may not start at all if it’s too overloaded.

And 13 days later is a long long time for updates - anything could happen in the next half an hour … Stingray
