Hi all, I’m trying to implement a LoRaWAN network in Indonesia and I struggle to find good information about the legal use of LoraWAN in Indonesia. The country has very strict rules for any type of telecommunication device. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me to finding someone who has a good understanding of the requirements in Indonesia. I tried you get in touch with some of the listed TTN groups but had no luck, so far. This is a commercial project so I’m happy to pay for the advice.
Try reaching out to the LoRa-Alliance for guidance and assist and if considering using The Things Industries infrastructure or services then @rish1 would be a good start contact for any commercial engagement
(and even if commercial would be good spirited and community minded if you could also openly peer with TTN (through PacketBroker) to help the local communities - also good for corporate ESG goals )
Hi Jeff, I tried all possible ways, but can’t get a response. I have worked with other radio technologies in Indonesia, and it is a difficult legislative environment. I will persist and see where I end up.
Dear 88bit,
Thanks for reaching out. I have over 12 years of experience in IoT development and have successfully delivered more than 250 projects, including several using LoRaWAN, TTN, and ChirpStack. We’ve worked with a client in Indonesia on a similar LoRaWAN deployment, so I’m familiar with the regulatory challenges specific to the region.
I’d be happy to assist you with navigating the legal and technical aspects of LoRaWAN implementation in Indonesia. Feel free to connect—we can discuss your requirements in detail. I’m also attaching a few of our relevant past projects for your reference.
