For the non-Dutchies: this devices detects water on the inside of your boat (e.g. rain), so you can scoop out the water before it sinks completely, am I right?

It even calls a company for you, hoosjebootje, which comes by and empties the boat for you!

This is really a good practical IoT product, I have been working on the side for past 3 years brokering yachts and I actually just had a bad experience where a shipyard who was storing one of the boats did not power it and rainwater accumulated in the hull and caused damage, … the shipyard is 200Kms return trip…so hard to monitor this in person - this device would have saved our asses and let me know they (the shipyard) were not properly handling the vessel.

So YES - two thumbs up… all we need now a proper shiny PDF Use case / device/ App sheet , I think if more average people see this practical 1+1+1 = sensible IoT solution - they will be able to start understanding it at a level they can get their heads around - I really love to hear more news on apps and devices the community comes up with - would be cool if we can organize a real central repository/DB of all apps and devices and reach out to for all to submit their thing.

An interesting and functional usage of IoT! :ok_hand:

What is used as a water sensor? And is there any source code available?

I have ordered the Uno (and a gateway) and I have boat. So I would like to build something similar. It would be perfect if the rain water height in the boat can be measured with an analog signal. Then I know how urgent the problem is.
