Did anyone try to convert an ESP32 into a 3-channel gateway, as described here?

’ This mode is very experimental, and does not work yet the way it is intended. ’

As it says;

3. HOP; Frequency Hopping mode (Experimental)
This mode is very experimental, and does not work yet the way it is intended.

So it does not work, its an idea only. Myself I keep ‘ideas’ to myself until I have a resonable expectation that the ‘idea’ will work.

I tried CAD detect, which you would need to use and found it not reliable, that was only on single frequency.

but maybe!

that’s a wrong approach in the age of net collaboration! without “visions” Falcon Heavy never would have been achieved… of course you may follow your -outdated- lines. No problem!

No, I have actually spent a while trying the CAD detect and\or RSSI method of checking for channel activity and found it not at all useful for average to weak signals.

Does the method descrbed (in the link you provided) allow a single SX127x device to reliably detect average to weak signals on all the spreading factors at once ?
