Dragino LG02 Gateway

Has anyone had any experience with the Dragino LG02 Gateway? It looks like a fair improvement over the LG01 as it is now dual channel.

I’m interested in the use of the gateway over 3G and 4G and whether anyone has tried different configurations (MQTT mode etc)

Thanks!

and as you stated before … it’s NOT lorawan compliant

Still, I think it could prove useful for a LoRa testing, as well as LoRaWAN/TTN

it’s still a single channel gateway:wink:

So it’s technically 2x single channel gateways bundled in one unit?

as I understand it there are two versions… an indoor and an outdoor version .
Think that the electronics are the same inside.

LG02 can support the LoRaWAN protocol in single frequency and customized LoRa transmit protocol. The design of LG02 is use the Linux to directly control two sx1276/sx1278 LoRa modules which lets the LoRa can works in full duplex LoRa mode and increase the communication efficiency.

No…it is only one channel to recieve and one channel to send “downlink messages”
I was dealing with this gateway for about 10 days…at the end guys from dragino try to help me with temviewer sessions. I had massive packetlosses and they did a test with there LG02 and came to the same result…packetlosses.

I sent it back a few days ago and will build a real 8 Channel Gateway now.

I can only say: save the money…it is just a toy…not really a LoRaWAN Gateway.

Have a good day
