Mikrotik wAP LR8 kit guide wrong photo

May i point out the photo ( https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/gateways/mikrotik/Antenna_Mikrotik.png ) showing the antenna connector is not the correct one?
At least the one i got has a ‘normal’ female SMA connector. The photo is showing a male SMA connector.

No real issue, but now i got some Aliexpress adapters on the way i don’t need.

I am now testing this device instead of the useless-for-outside IMST boards.
So far so good!

I’ve got at least three iMST boards deployed outside, in a proper case that is no issue at all.
If you are suggesting the Mikrotik gateway is better value for money, that might be the case, keep in mind it got to the market well over four years after the iMST hardware was released.

Two IMST boards have gone deaf here. After statics in the air.
I asked IMST, the board is not to be used for outside usage as it has no anti-ESD components.

Or you have added the anti-ESD components or you have been lucky.
Lots more have gone deaf by other people.

To be clear:
The IMST board keeps working fine, but drops about 20-30 dB in SNR.
A lot of people don’t notice this, as they have no reference.

Compare with a fixed LoRa signal and a fresh new IMST board if you have one unused.

Strange. The original rendering from MT shows also female. Maybe an early (obviously wrong) design…
