Hi, what frequency and router do you have your gateway set to in the TTN console?

Hi, on TTN I have Frequency Plan Europe 868MHz and Router ttn-router-eu.

My gateway is set up for Europe frequencies as well, I am able to connecto to the internet thru the Modem (PPP protocol) but no the the TTN routers. I do not know why because there is no info about it.

Got it. Were you able to run the installer.sh?

Yes as I mentioned I ran the installer everything goes well no errors, but doensā€™t connect.

What directory is your installer.sh residing in?

in my root do I need to save in a specific folder?

Use the multitech instructions to connect the gateway to the internet, once that works use the TTN instructions to install/setup the packet forwarder.

what does the packet forwarder log say?

hi @kersing as said before I just followed the guide as described on TTN and everything goes fine but when the packet forwarder try to connect it says impossible to connect to ā€˜ttn-router-euā€™.

Would it hurt to actually copy and paste a few lines of the log? Iā€™m trying to help and appen to know a thing or two about the software. Seeing the exact message could help debugging the issueā€¦

This is not related to the packet forwarder. There seems to be something wrong with the 3G/LTE configuration. The forum at multitech.net might provide some help.

Ok, could you try (run on the gateway):

hi @kersing ok i will try to use a landline internet connection either over Ethernet or over WiFi instead of the 3G/LTE and let you know how it goes. Thx for the support.

First of all I hope that you guys are enjoying the XMas time and holidays.

It seems that our Mobile provider doesnā€™t allow ICMP on their network and they also do not allow Public IP so the only way to reach the Gateway is thur a VPN.

Is still possible to use the TTN service/network? In which way?

The gateway only needs to ā€˜talkā€™ to the outside world using TCP if you use the ttn protocol or using udp if you use the Semtech protocol. No need for icmp or inbound connections (except if you want ssh for management)

You can ask them if they allow tcp port 1883/mqtt outbound, if not check if port 1700 outbound and return traffic is allowed.

OK i will ask them, in the meantime i will use my internet provider because we need to test other LoRa devices with that gateway.
