The WORKBENCH part 3

I have also used the DN024 design it is very good, your antenna seems to be cut for 915MHz though.

Why do you say so?
It is cut for 868MHz as per the design not specification.

You are right he additional length is for dual band operation at 868 and 2.4Ghz. I have just moved over to the DN038 though, have you tried it?

No I haven’t. It is much more compact but gain is reduced by up to 50%.
Comparatively, how does it perform?

I wonder, if the backend’s ADR reacts on these conditions… will it switch back a node to let’s say SF 7… and what if the conditions suddenly go back to normal… is your node ‘lost’ ?

btw 241 KM ! :flushed:

Wow I have the same kind of result.
This node is in a truck , antenna inside. It drives the dike Enkhuizen-Lelystad almost daily but it never had any coverage on it. Until today…

Lora broke my site
So I made a few blog posts to take my site out of snooze mode.
Decided it would be fun to blog about the long lora ranges.
Then hacker news picked it up on the front page.
Great-success
Then my cheap Neostrada hosting died… :face_vomiting:

I received some batteries for these boards last week. 3.2v 7000mAh
I intend to print cases and remove regulators/LED’s, possibly add solar “top-up” as distinct to charger but to deploy these as low power devices “for life”. I guess battery life will be indefinite based on my xperience using @Charles other project board. Possibly longer battery life than lifespan of LoRaWAN as we currently know it?

oeps sorry

I removed the link

maybe, if you feel like it, make it a LAB story ?

…loud and clear my friend!

No regulator, raw battery voltage on VCC rail, fit and forget?

I just found this type :upside_down_face: no regulator needed
